2. What Data We Collect and Why

2.1 Contact & Demo Requests

When you submit a contact form or book a demo, we collect your name, company name, email address, and any message you provide. This data is used solely to respond to your inquiry. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR / Art. 31 nDSG).

2.2 Website Analytics — Google Analytics 4 (G-S8LB3NLB2T, Google LLC, USA)

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymised data about how visitors interact with our website (pages visited, session duration, device type). IP addresses are anonymised before processing. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Data transfers to the USA are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses (SCCs). Retention: 14 months.

2.3 Session Recording & Heatmaps — Microsoft Clarity (j6ajgfjwzc, Microsoft Corporation, USA)

With your consent, we use Microsoft Clarity to record anonymised user sessions and generate heatmaps to understand how visitors navigate the site. Sensitive fields are automatically masked. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Retention: 30 days.

2.4 Tag Management — Google Tag Manager (GTM-MH5KKB9)

We use Google Tag Manager to deploy the analytics tools listed above. GTM itself does not collect personal data or set cookies. It only activates other tags after the appropriate consent has been given. Legal basis: legitimate interest.

2.5 LinkedIn Insight Tag (Partner ID 4579794, LinkedIn Corporation, USA)

With your consent, we use the LinkedIn Insight Tag to measure conversions from LinkedIn campaigns and understand which campaigns drive traffic to our site. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can also opt out via your LinkedIn account settings. LinkedIn’s privacy policy: linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.

2.6 Google Fonts (Google LLC, USA)

This website loads fonts from Google Fonts. When a font is requested, your browser’s IP address is transmitted to Google’s servers. Legal basis: legitimate interest (consistent visual presentation). Transfer covered by SCCs.

3. Cookies & Consent

On your first visit, a consent banner asks you to accept or decline analytics and advertising cookies (analytics_storage and ad_storage). Non-essential tools are only loaded after explicit acceptance. Your choice is stored in your browser’s localStorage under the key egs_consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser data, which will re-display the banner on your next visit.

4. Data Retention

• Google Analytics 4: 14 months
• Microsoft Clarity: 30 days
• LinkedIn Insight Tag: 90 days (pseudonymised), conversion data up to 7 years (LinkedIn’s own retention)
• Contact / demo enquiries: up to 3 years

5. International Data Transfers

Google, Microsoft, and LinkedIn process data on servers in the United States. We rely on standard contractual clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, and where applicable on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, to ensure your data is protected to European standards.

6. Your Rights

Under the GDPR and Swiss nDSG you have the right to: access your data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.
